Telangana Cop Carries Farmer on Shoulder for 2 Km to Save His Life

Hyderabad: A Telangana policeman saved the life of a distressed farmer, who had consumed poison, by carrying him on his shoulder for more than two kilometres. The incident took place in Betigal village of Karimnagar’s Veenavanka mandal of Telangana.

According to sources, this farmer consumed pesticide in his field following a domestic quarrel. Nearby farmers noticed his condition and called up the emergency services.

The said Telangana policeman, Jaypal, responded to the distress call and located the farmer in an unconscious condition in his field. As no vehicle could reach the spot, he lifted the unconscious farmer on his shoulder and treaded over two kilometres across the fields’ ridges.

Because of Jaypal’s swift action and determination, the farmer could be transported to Jammikunta Hospital in time. Timely medical intervention could save the life of the farmer.
