Ranbir Kapoor to Appear as Antagonist in YRF’s Dhoom 4, to Shoot after Ramayana: Report

Mumbai: Actor Ranbir Kapoor is reported to have agreed to appear in YRF’s Dhoom 4.

He is now shooting for Nitesh Tiwari’s Ramayana. As per a report published in Pinkvilla, Ranbir has given his final nod to the makers. Aditya Chopra is giving finishing touches to the script of Dhoom 4 with writer Vijay Krishna Acharya.

A source close to the production informed Pinkvilla that in Dhoom 4, the entire franchise will be rebooted. No one from the old Dhoom films will be cast in the fourth film.

Aditya Chopra envisions creating a cinematic experience like never before with the fourth Dhoom film.

While talking about Ranbir’s involvement in the film and how he came onboard, the source said, “The discussions with Ranbir have been going on for the longest time. He had always shown interest in being a part of Dhoom 4 on hearing the basic idea, and is now finally confirmed to lead the franchise. Adi Chopra feels that RK is the ideal choice to carry forward the Dhoom legacy.”

The film is going to have two new faces as cop-buddies and Ranbir is likely to play the negative lead. The report stated, “Two big heroes from the younger generation will come on board to play the duo of cop buddies in Dhoom 4.”

Dhoom 4 will be the 25th film of Ranbir’s career. After wrapping Ramayana 1 and 2, Ranbir will appear in Dhoom 4, followed by Animal Park, the sequel to his mega-successful Animal.
