Request from Japan to Dub ‘Bawaal’ in Japanese

Mumbai: Makers of the upcoming Bollywood film ‘Bawaal’ starring Varun Dhawan and Janhvi Kapoor received a special request from Japan to get the movie dubbed in Japanese.

This hints at the rising interest of Japanese audiences towards Bollywood movies. For a better viewing experience, movie buffs in Japan want ‘Bawaal’ to be dubbed in Japanese for a better experience on the OTT platform.

The Japanese are interested in this movie as it has a Japanese connection. The storyline of ‘Bawaal’ has links with the themes and events surrounding World War 2.

‘Bawaal’, a Sajid Nadiadwala production, showcases the elements of World War 2 which have enhanced Japanese interest in ‘Bawaal’.

The production house, Nadiadwala Grandson Entertainment, confirmed the Japanese request.

“Bawaal’ will premiere on Prime Video on July 21.
