Vijay Sethupathi to Host Bigg Boss Tamil Season 8 Replacing Kamal Haasan

Chennai: Vijay Sethupathi will replace Kamal Haasan as host of the reality show Bigg Boss Tamil Season 8.

Sethupati will host the reality show as Kamal Haasan decided to step down from the role. Star Vijay, the channel airing the reality show, shared the news on social media with the caption “Vandhaachu Pudhu Bigg Boss” which translates to ‘The new Bigg Boss has arrived’.

Kamal Haasan announced to step down from the show after hosting its seven seasons due to his commitments to multiple film projects. In a statement made in August, Kamal Haasan also expressed heartfelt gratitude to the audience for their support during his time as host.

In the past, Silambarasan TR had hosted the OTT version of Bigg Boss Tamil while Haasan was busy with shooting of Vikram.

Kamal Haasan is currently filming Thug Life with Mani Ratnam.
