Ingredients for making masala paratha-
- Flour- 1 cup
- Besan- 1 cup
- Cumin- ½ tsp
- Ajwain- 1 tsp
- Ginger paste- 1 tsp
- Red Chili powder- 1 tsp
- Asafoetide (हींग)- 1 pinch
- Kasuri Methi- 1 tsp
- Chopped Green Coriander- 2 tsp
- Oil- as required
- Salt- as per taste
Method of making the masala paratha-
To make masala paratha, first take flour and gram flour in a plate or a mixing bowl. After that mix these two ingredients well. After this, add red chili powder, cumin, ajwain, asafoetida, kasuri methi, finely chopped green coriander and salt to taste and mix all properly. To make the paratha crispy, add a spoonful of oil and mix it. Now add water little by little and knead the dough and then cover it and keep it for half an hour. After this take the dough and knead it one more time. After this prepare the dough balls.
Now take a nonstick pan/tawa and put it on the gas to heat. While the tawa is getting hot, take a ball and roll out a round or triangular paratha. Now put some oil on the pan and spread it all around. After this put the paratha on it and roast it. Now after roasting for about 1 minute, turn the paratha over and roast it with oil on the other side. Roast the paratha well from both the sides till it turns golden in colour. After this, take out the paratha separately in a plate. Similarly roll all the dough balls and bake them. Serve it with green chutney or tomato sauce.
