Five Pakistani Coal Miners Die After Roof Collapses in Balochistan

At least five coal mine workers died when the roof of a house collapsed due to heavy rainfall in Pakistan’s Balochistan province.

The house was built for the accommodation of the workers outside a coal mine.

A few days back 12 coal miners were killed in a methane gas explosion inside a mine in Harnai in the Balochistan province. Four days back three coal miners were kidnapped by armed men from a mine in Dukki. They are yet to be traced.

Recent incidents have again put doubts on the existing safety protocols for coal mine workers in Pakistan.
