Indian-Origin Doctor Sexually Assaults Female Patients in Britain, Convicted

A 47-year-old doctor of Indian origin named Mohan Babu was convicted in Britain for sexually assaulting three women patients who were under his care.

Mohan Babu was a family doctor operating in southeast England. One of his victims is a cancer patient.

Mohan Babu, a former general practitioner at the Staunton Surgery in Havant, Hampshire, was found guilty on four counts of sexual assault by the Portsmouth Crown Court.

Babu, who worked alongside his wife, also a general practitioner at the same clinic, was released on conditional bail pending sentencing on April 12, according to the digital news portal The News.

Mohan Babu was involved in these sexual assaults between September 2019 and July 2021. His youngest victim was a 19-year-old woman. He sexually assaulted the women on the premises of the Staunton Surgery, where he was employed.

Earlier, five other women, including a receptionist at the clinic, had complained about his lewd behavior.

Mohan Babu misused his job by doing tests that weren’t needed, saying inappropriate things, and even hurting patients.

After a series of complaints, Mohan Babu stopped working at Staunton Surgery in July 2021.
