‘Hurt’ British Man Leaves £50 for Grandchildren Who Never Visited Him

Despite owning a fortune worth £500,000, a 91-year-old man left only £50 in cash for each of his grandchildren.

Former soldier Frederick Ward Snr did not leave anything more for his grandchildren as he was ‘hurt’ that they did not visit him or keep in touch with him.

Earlier Fred Snr living in Willow Road, South Ealing, London had made a will dividing his estate between his three children.

But when he died in 2020, he left his fortune to his two children Terry Ward and Susan Wiltshire, discounting his third dead son Fred Jr’s children, reported dailymail.co.uk.

Snr informed his lawyers that he was upset as his late son’s children never visited him when he was hospitalised thrice. When Ward’s will was read out by Terry after his death, from a fortune valued at around £500,000, the grandchildren were handed envelopes containing only £50 each in cash by their grandfather.
