Michelle Obama Not Interested to Run for US President

Michelle Obama, the wife of former US president Barak Obama, has no intentions to run for President in the upcoming 2024 elections, reported NBC News quoting her office.

“As former First Lady Michelle Obama has expressed several times over the years, she will not be running for president,” said Crystal Carson, director of communications for her office.

“Mrs Obama supports President Joe Biden and Vice President Kamala Harris’ re-election campaign.”

In her conversation with Oprah Winfrey in 2023, Michelle Obama said she would probably never run for office.

“Politics is hard. And the people who get into it … you’ve got to want it. It’s got to be in your soul, because it is so important. It is not in my soul,” she said.

Recently an opinion poll revealed that Michelle Obama was the leading choice to replace President Joe Biden as the Democratic party’s candidate for the presidential elections. The 2024 US presidential election is expected to be a refight between Joe Biden and Donald Trump.
