North Korea Fires 3 Ballistic Missiles Amid Tensions On Korean Peninsula

Pyongyang: Early this morning, December 31, North Korea launched three short-range ballistic missiles into the eastern sea off the Korean peninsula.

According to South Korea’s military, North Korea’s firing of ballistic missiles is a serious provocation that threatens both regional and global peace and stability.

The most recent missile launches, according to Washington, do not yet constitute a threat to the US or its allies.

Earlier, the Japanese coast guard reported that one missile had landed in the water.

Five days have passed since North Korea entered South Korea’s airspace with drones for the first time since 2017.

North Korea, meanwhile, has fired off more missiles this year than ever before.

Three senior North Korean officials connected to the nation’s latest missile tests were subject to sanctions earlier this month by the US and its Asian allies.
