Sikhs Protest Outside UK Mission In Delhi Over Vandalism In London

New Delhi: Members of the Sikh community staged a protest outside the UK High Commission in New Delhi over vandalism at the Indian Mission in London by pro-Khalistan supporters.

The security at the UK Mission has beefed up ahead of the planned protest by the Sikh community in the national capital.

The agitators expressed anger over the pro-Khalistan supporters grabbing the Tricolour flying atop the Indian High Commission in London and waving separatist Khalistani flags and chanting pro-Khalistan slogans on Sunday.

The Tricolour flying atop the Indian High Commission in London was pulled down by a group of protesters waving separatist Khalistani flags and chanting pro-Khalistani slogans on Sunday evening.
Following the vandalism at the Indian Mission in the UK, the Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) summoned the senior-most UK diplomat in New Delhi late evening on Sunday to convey India’s “strong protest” at the actions taken by separatist and extremist elements against the Indian High Commission in London.
