Aadhar Validation Needed for Getting Laddu at Tirupati Temple

Tirupati: The Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD) has introduced Aadhaar validation for tokenless devotees seeking to obtain laddu prasadams of the temple.

Making this announcement on Thursday, the TTD declared that it was a move to check middlemen selling laddus in the black market and enhance transparency in the laddu distribution process.

To prevent black market of laddu prasadam, the devotees without darshan tokens can now register their Aadhaar card at designated laddu counters to receive two laddus.

The devotees with darshan tokens or tickets can continue to purchase additional laddus, besides receiving one free laddu, as before.
