Chhattisgarh Man Shaves Off Half Moustache, Part of Head for BJP Candidate’s Defeat

Raipur: Derha Ram Yadav, a supporter of a BJP candidate in the Assembly polls in Chhattisgarh shaved off half of his moustache and also partially tonsured his head when the candidate he supported lost the polls.

Yadav was supporting the BJP Alka Chandrakar in the Kallari assembly seat in Chhattisgarh’s Mahasamund district. He had made bet with his friends that if Chandrakar loses then he would partially tonsure his head and moustache.

The results declared on Sunday stated that Chandrakar was defeated by Dwarikadhish Yadav of Congress from Kallari.

Keeping his word, Derha Ram Yadav immediately went to a barber shop and got his hair and moustache partially shaved off.

The BJP came back to power in Chhattisgarh, winning 54 of the 90 assembly seats, while the Congress won in 35 constituencies including Kallari.
