Eye Specialist Kills Wife, Two Children Before Ending Life in UP

Lucknow: An eye specialist posted at a Railway hospital in Rae Bareli in UP allegedly murdered his wife and two children before committing suicide.

This doctor has been identified as Arun Kumar Singh (45), hailing from Mirzapur, who has been serving as an eye specialist at the Modern Rail Coach Factory Hospital since 2017.

On Tuesday night, the doctor’s colleagues called the police when no one from Dr Arun’s family answered their phone calls.

The doctor was living with his family in a house on the hospital campus. According to the people living in the neighbourhood, the family was last seen two days ago on Sunday.

Police broke open the house and discovered the bodies of the doctor, his wife Archana (40), son Aarav (4), and daughter Ariba (12).

It was hinted that Singh injected his family with a sedative drug to make them unconscious before killing them. The minors died of head injuries while Dr Arun was found hanging.

It is suspected that the doctor was suffering from depression.
