UP Man Fined for Transforming Car to Look Like Chopper

Lucknow: Ishwar Deen, an inhabitant of Ambedkar Nagar in UP spent over 2.5 lakh rupees to make his old car look like a helicopter.

But UP police ended his efforts by imposing a fine on him and also ordered him to dismantle the rotor that he had welded on to the roof of the old car to make it resemble a chopper.

Ishwar was on his way to a workshop to get his ‘car copter’ painted when he was intercepted by traffic policemen, who fined him for his unauthorised modifications of the car. His transformed vehicle was seized by the police and later released on payment of the fine.

Ishwar’s ‘car copter’ also sported the tail rotor of a helicopter welded to the boot of the car.

Iswar wanted to rent out this eye-catching transformed car for wedding processions and other festive occasions.

The police issued a challan of Rs 2,000 for the unauthorized modification of the car and asked him to remove the back portion of the car.

The police said the car was modified without proper authorization under the Motor Vehicles Act. Modifications require permission from the RTO department, and the vehicle was seized under Section 207 of the Motor Vehicles Act.
