2 Pilots Found Dead In Arunachal Pradesh Army Chopper Crash

New Delhi: Two pilots were reportedly killed after an Indian Army Aviation Cheetah helicopter crashed near the Mandala hills area in Arunachal Pradesh on Thursday.

A search operation was carried out by the Indian Army, Sashastra Seema Bal (SSB) and police after the crash.

“Both the pilots involved in the crash have lost their lives,” said Army officials.

According to the details, the chopper crashed near Mandala, West of Bomdila town in the state.

The chopper was conducting an operational sortie near Bomdila, Arunachal Pradesh, when it reportedly lost contact with the Air Traffic Control (ATC) at around 9.15 am, Lt Col Mahendra Rawat, PRO Defence Guwahati confirmed.

Five search parties of the Army, Sashastra Seema Bal (SSB) and Indo-Tibetan Border Police (ITBP) were immediately flung into action.
