BJP President Nadda to Visit Berhampur, Nabarangpur on Apr 28

Bhubaneswar: BJP national president JP Nadda will be in Odisha on April 28 to campaign for the candidates of the party.

According to the former Odisha BJP president Samir Mohanty, Nadda will address a public meeting in Berhampur and will attend a party leaders’ meeting in Nabarangpur during his Odisha visit.

Voting will be held in Berhampur and Nabarangpur Lok Sabha constituencies on May 13. The other two seats where voting will be held on the same day are Kalahandi and Koraput.

On Thursday, Union Home Minister Amit Shah addressed an election rally in Sonepur. He also held meeting with BJP leaders of 13 parliamentary constituencies in Bhubaneswar.

In the Berhampur Lok Sabha seat, Gopalpur MLA Pradeep Panigrahi, an expelled BJD leader who joined the BJP is fielded BJD’s candidate Bhrugu Baxipatra, who was earlier the general secretary of state BJP.

In Nabarangpur, Balabhadra Majhi of the BJP is contesting against BJD’s Pradeep Kumar Majhi, who had won from the seat in 2009 on Congress ticket. Balabhadra had won from Nabarangpur in 2014 by defeating Pradeep.
