7 Killed, 6 Injured in Karnataka Road Accident

Bengaluru: Seven persons died and six others were seriously injured when two mining tippers collided with an SUV near a  tunnel on the outskirts of Hospet city in Karnataka’s Vijayanagara district on Monday evening.

All deceased were residents of Hospet. The accident took place when the SUV was returning from Koolahalli Goni Basaveshwara temple in Harapanahalli taluka of Vijayanagara district.

At the time of the accident, there were 13 people in the vehicle.
