9 Dead, Several Injured in Truck-Tempo Collision in Bihar

Patna: At least nine persons died and several others were injured when a truck and a tempo collided head-on in Bihar’s Lakhisarai district in the wee hours of Wednesday.

The occurred at Biharaura village along the Lakhisarai-Sikandra main road. The tempo was transporting around 15 passengers at the time of the accident. It was hit by a truck coming from the opposite direction.

All the deceased died on the spot. Most of the deceased were from Munger. The victims were returning from a wedding ceremony. The driver of the truck fled the spot after the accident.

The accident took place around 3 am on the Lakhisarai-Sikandra main road. The injured were admitted to the nearest government hospital.
