Former Indian Cricketer Ambati Rayudu Joins YSR Congress Party in Andhra Pradesh

Former Indian cricketer Ambati Rayudu has officially joined the YSR Congress Party (YSRCP) in the presence of Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy at the CM office in Vijayawada.

The event, which included Andhra Pradesh Deputy CM Narayana Swamy and MP Peddireddy Mithun Reddy, was shared on the official X (formerly Twitter) handle of YSRCP.

Rayudu, known for his contributions in domestic and IPL cricket, retired after the 2023 IPL season. His entry into politics was announced a month after retirement, expressing his intention to serve the people of Andhra Pradesh.

Despite speculations about contesting the 2024 Lok Sabha elections, Rayudu denied such claims. His decision to engage with the public and understand their concerns indicates a commitment to his political endeavor.
