Amit Shah Alleges Deliberate Inflation of Muslim and Yadav Population in Bihar Caste Survey

Muzaffarpur (Bihar): Union Home Minister Amit Shah criticized the Nitish Kumar-led government in Bihar, alleging that the recent caste survey conducted in the state intentionally exaggerated the Muslim and Yadav populations for political gain. Shah made these remarks during a rally in Muzaffarpur district.

He pointed out that the decision to conduct the caste survey was made when Nitish Kumar’s JD(U) was part of the NDA coalition. Shah accused the opposition INDIA alliance, which includes JD(U) and RJD, of having a singular agenda to oppose Prime Minister Narendra Modi and advised Nitish Kumar to abandon his ambitions of becoming the next Prime Minister.

Shah also held Nitish Kumar responsible for what he termed as a ‘Gundaraaj’ (lawlessness) in the state. He criticized RJD leader Lalu Yadav for his stance on Article 370 in Jammu and Kashmir, stating that neither JD(U) nor RJD supported its removal.

In a scathing comment, Shah referred to Nitish Kumar and Lalu Yadav as individuals with self-serving agendas, one aiming for the Prime Ministership and the other seeking to position his son as the Chief Minister.

It’s worth noting that JD(U) had severed ties with the BJP and joined the Mahagathbandhan alliance, which includes the Congress, RJD, and Left parties, last year.

During the rally, Shah confidently asserted that the BJP would secure all 40 seats in Bihar in the upcoming Lok Sabha elections.
