Elderly Man Arrested for Sexually Harassing Woman on Frankfurt-Bengaluru Flight

Bengaluru: A 52-year-old man was arrested for allegedly sexually harassing a female passenger on a Lufthansa flight from Frankfurt to Bengaluru, police said on Wednesday. The incident reportedly occurred on November 6 while the 32-year-old woman, who hails from Tirupati in Andhra Pradesh, was asleep.

According to the woman’s complaint, the man, who was seated next to her, touched her private parts and misbehaved with her. She immediately informed the flight attendants and requested a seat change. Despite the change in seating, the man continued to harass her throughout the journey.

Upon landing in Bengaluru, the woman filed a complaint against the man at Kempegowda International Airport Police Station. A case was registered under section 354 A (Sexual harassment) of the Indian Penal Code, and the man was subsequently arrested. However, he was later released on bail.
