Guidelines for Social Media Influencers: This big decision will be taken by the Centre

New Delhi: The central government is coming up with guidelines for social media. Also, social media influencers have to announce their association with the brand. Otherwise, a heavy fine will be imposed on them. The government may issue an SOP within 10 days to protect online consumers.

This decision has been taken to protect customers from various types of false promises. Each social media influencer will provide information about their brand. Apart from this, if someone does pay promotion using any content of Influencer, then he will be required to give a disclaimer. But if anyone violates these rules, then a fine of Rs 10 lakh will be imposed on him. Similarly, if someone repeats the same mistake, he will have to pay a fine of Rs 50 lakh.

Actions should include brand endorsers, social media influencers, and bloggers for false and misleading reviews of products. This year, from July 1, the order has been implemented by the Income Tax Department. According to the new rules, influencers will have to pay 10 percent DDS for various products.
