Multiple Girls Allegedly Molested in UP Juvenile Home: 5 Suspended, Manager Faces Charges

Saharanpur: Multiple girls were reportedly molested at a juvenile home in Saharanpur, Uttar Pradesh, leading to swift action by the authorities. District Magistrate Dinesh Chandra has suspended five individuals and filed a case against the juvenile home’s manager.

The incident was brought to the attention of Sub-Divisional Magistrate Kirti Raj, who conducted a thorough investigation by speaking with other officials and children at the home. Considering the seriousness of the matter, a temporary ban on entry and exit has been imposed on the facility until the investigation is concluded.

The complaint received highlighted instances of indecent behaviour towards female children at the juvenile home. Immediate steps were taken, including an inquiry conducted by female officers and the subsequent registration of a First Information Report (FIR).

DM Dinesh Chandra emphasized that Circle Officer (CO) level officers are currently investigating the matter and assured that stringent action would be taken against those found guilty.
