Man Arrested For Brutally Assaulting Elderly Mother Outside Temple in UP

Bulandshahr: In a disturbing incident that shocked residents of Uttar Pradesh’s Bulandshahr district, a man was arrested for physically assaulting his elderly mother in broad daylight. The shocking incident, which took place on March 30, was caught on camera and has since gone viral on social media.

The video shows the accused, identified as Durgesh, chasing his mother down a busy street with a stick. The woman, dressed in tattered clothes, is seen desperately trying to flee. Bystanders reportedly watched the incident unfold but did not intervene.

Durgesh eventually corners his mother on a footpath and proceeds to beat her with the stick. Despite her attempts to escape again, he continues the assault.

Following the incident, Durgesh’s brother filed a complaint at the Salempur police station. The police acted swiftly, arresting Durgesh and registering a case against him for assault, abuse, and creating a public disturbance.

According to Superintendent of Police Rural, Rohit Mishra, Durgesh was presented in court but has since been granted bail.

The incident has sparked outrage online, with many criticizing the bystanders’ inaction.
