PM Modi Inaugurates ₹12,600 Cr Worth of Infrastructure Projects in Madhya Pradesh

Jabalpur: Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated several key projects and laid the foundation stone for others during his recent visit to Madhya Pradesh. These projects, with a total investment of over ₹12,000 crore, span various sectors, including road, rail, energy, housing, and drinking water.

One of the notable initiatives is the ‘Veerangana Rani Durgavati Smarak aur Udyaan,’ a tribute to Rani Durgavati on her 500th birth centenary. This project will feature a towering 52-foot-high bronze statue of the queen and a museum showcasing the history of the Gondwana region.

The Prime Minister also virtually inaugurated the Light House Project in Indore, a housing initiative under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana – Urban. This innovative project employs prefabricated technology to construct high-quality homes with basic amenities in record time.

In the realm of water supply, the Prime Minister laid the foundation stone for multiple Jal Jeevan Mission projects in Mandla, Jabalpur, and Dindori districts, with a combined investment of over ₹2350 crore. He also dedicated a Jal Jeevan Mission project in Seoni district, worth ₹100 crore, which will positively impact approximately 1,575 villages in Madhya Pradesh.

To enhance transportation infrastructure, Prime Minister Modi inaugurated and laid the foundation stone for road projects totalling more than ₹4800 crore. These projects encompass the upgrading of various highways and road sections across the state.

The Prime Minister also dedicated rail projects worth more than ₹1850 crore, including the doubling of rail lines in the Katni-Vijaysota and Marwasgram-Singrauli sections. These endeavours are part of the broader effort to enhance rail infrastructure in Madhya Pradesh, stimulating trade and tourism.

The Prime Minister also inaugurated the Vijaipur-Auraiya-Phulpur Pipeline Project, a 352 km-long pipeline built at a cost exceeding ₹1750 crore. Moreover, he laid the foundation stone for the Nagpur-Jabalpur section of the Mumbai-Nagpur-Jharsuguda Pipeline Project, with a budget exceeding ₹1100 crore. These gas pipeline projects aim to provide clean and affordable natural gas to both industries and households while contributing to reduced environmental emissions.

Lastly, the Prime Minister inaugurated a new bottling plant in Jabalpur, built at a cost of around ₹147 crore.
