Rahul Gandhi Receives Death Threat in MP’s Indore

Indore: A letter threatening an assassination attempt on former Congress president Rahul Gandhi reached a sweets shop in Indore in Madhya Pradesh.

According to police sources, this threatening letter also cautioned of serial blasts in the city by the end of November. Congress leader and former Madhya Pradesh CM, Kamal Nath was also threatened through this letter.

Rahul Gandhi’s ‘Bharat Jodo Yatra’ is scheduled to pass through Madhya Pradesh from November 28-30. So, this threatening letter became a security concern.

On the envelope of this letter sent by post, BJP’s Ratlam MLA Chetan Kashyap has been named as the sender. The sweets shop owner handed over this letter written in Hindi to the Indore police.

Indore police have started an investigation after registering a case against an unidentified accused. Police are also examining the footage of CCTV cameras installed near the sweets shop that received the letter.
