RS Chairman Jagdeep Dhankhar Bats For Promotion Of Human Rights

New Delhi: Rajya Sabha Chairman Jagdeep Dhankhar has asked everyone to dedicate themselves to promoting the noble concepts and principles of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights and strive toward creating an ecosystem that supports human rights.

When the House convened this morning, Dhankhar stated that everyone has a moral obligation to work towards preserving justice, freedom, and dignity for all. He said that tomorrow is the 74th anniversary of International Human Rights Day, with the theme of Dignity, Freedom, and Justice for All.

The Chairman further stated that a number of actions taken by India have portrayed a new side to human rights. He claimed that the Covid pandemic provided an example of this when attempts were made to give universal vaccination and guarantee food security.
