Sonia Gandhi to Attend Bengaluru Opposition Meet, 24 Parties Invited

New Delhi: Former Congress President Sonia Gandhi will attend the meeting of the Opposition leaders in Bengaluru on July 17-18. According to sources, 24 parties have been invited to this Opposition meeting to discuss future plans to counter the BJP in the 2024 general elections.

The first Opposition meeting for the purpose was held in Bihar’s Patna on June 23, which was attended by 15 parties.

Leaders of 24 Opposition parties will sit together in an informal meeting on July 17 in Bengaluru. On the next day, they will have more formal interactions.

The meeting was earlier scheduled to be held on July 13. But it was shifted to July 17 a day after a split in the Nationalist Congress Party (NCP).
