WATCH: Dog Bites Kid Inside Lift In Noida; Owner Fined Rs 10K

Noida: A dog owner was slapped with a fine of Rs 10,000 by the Greater Noida Authority after his pet dog bit a 6-year-old on Tuesday inside the elevator of a residential complex. The event occurred yesterday at around 3 PM. The victim lives in the La Residentia society in Techzone 4 of Greater Noida West. Additionally, the pet owner is required by law to cover the whole expense of the child’s medical care.

The pet owner reportedly apologised to the child’s parents after the incident, and hence the victim’s family has not yet reported the incident to the police.

This comes after a string of other cases in the nation. An 8-year-old kid was also recently attacked by a dog in Bhubaneswar when he was riding his bicycle in the Tapaswini Colony under the Infocity police limits. The child sustained critical injuries.

An Apartment Owners’ Association (AOA) member commented on the incident terming it “very scary”. “No dog lover really follows the rules that were made to control dogs,” he added.
