1 Killed, 6 Rescued As Boat Capsizes In Bay Of Bengal Near Balasore

Balasore: A person was killed while six others were rescued after a motorboat capsized at the Kashapal sea mouth in the Bay of Bengal off the coast of Balasore district on Sunday morning.

According to reports, the incident occurred while seven fishermen had gone for fishing on a motorboat from the Kashaphala sea-mouth area on Saturday night when their boat capsized in the sea under the strong influence of strong winds and tidal waves.

Subsequently, one fisherman drowned to death in the incident while six were rescued by fishermen from a boat following them and brought to the shore safely. The injured fishermen were, later, admitted to a nearby hospital.
