14 Puri Bound Bengal Pilgrims Injured in Bus Accident in Bhadrak

Bhadrak: Around 14 pilgrims from West Bengal traveling to Puri were seriously injured when their bus met with an accident on Saturday on National Highway-16 near Juragadia in Bhadrak district. The condition of two of them is said to be extremely critical. According to police sources, this accident occurred in the wee hours of Saturday when the speeding bus hit a truck from the backside.

The injured were admitted to Bhadrak district headquarters hospital (DHH). This ill-fated bus had around 65 passengers. According to sources, they were traveling from Kolkata to Puri to pay to have the darshan of Lord Jagannath.

As this accident is suspected to be caused by the callousness of the driver, the helper and the driver of the bus fled from the spot after the incident.
