A Day after Ban Order, Terror Outfit TRF Issues New ‘hit list’ against Kashmiri Pandits

Jammu: A day after it was banned in India by the Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA), terror outfit The Resistance Front (TRF) on Saturday warned of terror attacks on people whose names it has released in its new “hit list”. In its letter, the organisation has threatened to kill Kashmiri Hindu employees serving in the valley.

The TRF is an offshoot of Pakistan-based Lashkar e Taiba. According to a Union Home Ministry notification, TRF is recruiting youth for terrorist activities, infiltration of terrorists, and smuggling of weapons and narcotics from Pakistan into Jammu and Kashmir. It was formed in 2019 as a proxy of the banned Lashkar-e-Taiba, involved in the 26/11 Mumbai terror attacks.

TRF was designated by the Center as a terrorist organisation under the Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act (UAPA).
