Adipurush Box Office Collection Dips to Only Rs 5 Cr on Day 9, No Chance of Revival

Mumbai: The Box Office tumble of Prabhas, Kriti Sanon and Saif Ali Khan starrer Om Raut’s movie Adipurush continues with each coming day. Its dismal business at ticket counters hints that it may be removed from theatres very soon. On day 9, Adipurush earned a meager Rs 5 crore across all languages, reported India Today.

Because of its advance booking audience turn-up, Adipurush did good business on the first three days. Because of it, the total earnings of the movie could reach around Rs 250 crore.

But on the first Monday after its release, Adipurush’s box office collection nosedived by more than 70 per cent. Since then, the drop has been huge reaching nearly Rs 5 crore across all languages on Day 9.  To attract audience ticket prices of the film were reduced to almost half. But it did not bring in any results.

Om Raut and dialogue writer Manoj Muntashir even redubbed the dialogues that were being objected to. But the film criticized by many continues to tank.

Many are also seeking a ban on this film produced in association with T-series because of controversy around its representation of the Ramayana.
