Ashwin, Umesh Put India On Front Foot After Bowling Out Bangladesh For 227

Dhaka: India bowled out Bangladesh for 227 runs in their first innings of the second Test in Dhaka as Umesh Yadav and Ravichandran Ashwin claimed four wickets apiece.

India ended Day 1 of the second Test against Bangladesh at Dhaka on 19/0 with KL Rahul (3*) and Shubman Gill (14*) playing out eight overs.

The visitors trail by 208 runs.

Earlier in the day, Bangladesh were bowled out for 227 with Ravichandran Ashwin and Umesh Yadav picking up four wickets each.

Mominul Haque top-scored with 84, while Mushfiqur Rahim (26) and Litton Das (25) contributed handy runs. India’s pacer Umesh registered figures of 15-4-25-4.

Jaydev Unadkat took his maiden Test wicket by dismissing Zakir Hasan (15). He also took the wicket of Rahim.
