Bhubaneswar Patia Gang Rape: 2nd Accused Arrested

Bhubaneswar: Second accused in the gang rape of two minor girls near Patia passenger halt was arrested by Government Railway Police (GRP) from Padanpur village in the Banki area of Cuttack district. He was identified as Bulu Mallik. According to police sources, he was trying to escape from Odisha.

On January 18, another accused in this gang-rape case named Kanha was arrested from the same village.

These two arrested youths had allegedly gang-raped two minor girls on On January 16 night near Patia Railway Station. After being informed by the family of the gang-rape victims, Bhubaneswar Childline with the help of Infocity police lodged an FIR with Government Railway Police (GRP).

One of the victims is 12 years old and the other is 14. The accused youths had tied the girls with rope and gang-raped them on January 16 night.
