Bihar Cop Shoots Woman Before Her Marriage

Patna: A police constable in Bihar shot at a 26-year-old woman in Munger on Sunday night, a few hours before her scheduled marriage. was scheduled, police said.

The victim was shot at in a beauty parlour at Naya Bazar under the Kotwali police station of Mumger. She had gone there for bridal makeup.

The bullet fired by the constable, Aman Kumar hit the left shoulder of the victim from behind and exited from the right side of the chest. After that the accused tried to commit suicide by shooting himself, but failed.

The accused overpowered women in the beauty parlour and fled from the spot. Search is on to track him down.

Aman Kumar is a constable of Bihar Police deployed in Patna. Initial investigation revealed that he was a jilted lover of the victim. Angry over her marriage, the police constable tried to kill the victim.
