Blast in Pakistan Train Kills At Least 2, Injures 4 Others

At least two passengers died, while four others were seriously injured when a blast occurred in a coach of Quetta-bound Jaffer Express train in Pakistan on Thursday.

According to Pak media, the blast occurred when the train was crossing the Chichawatni railway station. This train was traveling from Peshawar to Quetta.

As per reports, the explosion occurred when a cylinder blew up inside coach number 4 of the train, reported Pakistan media quoting a spokesperson for the railways. The cylinder was allegedly being transported to the washroom of the train by a passenger, said Pakistan media sources.

Investigators of police and the counter-terrorism department rushed to the spot to collect evidence from the explosion site.

Sudden blasts have become a major worry for Pakistan’s citizens. A few weeks back a blast at a mosque in Pakistan’s Peshawar killed more than 100 people. They had gathered up to offer their prayers. A suicide bomber targeted them. The suicide bomber in the January 30 Peshawar incident wore a police uniform to enter the high-security area on a motorbike.
