Boat Overturns in Koraput; 3 Bodies Fished Out, 1 Still Missing

Koraput: Fire Service Personnel fished out the bodies of three persons who drowned in the Kolab water reservoir after a country boat overturned in Odisha’s Koraput district on Thursday. One person is still missing.

According to reports, four persons drowned to death after a boat they were on, overturned near Podagada jetty. Four others were safely rescued from the river. The boat with eight passengers on board was en route to Tentulipadar from Mukhigudai when the mishap occurred.

On being informed, Fire service personnel reached the spot and initiated a rescue operation. The personnel have also initiated a probe into the matter.
