Central Govt Says Bomb Threat Emails to Schools in Delhi-NCR Was “Hoax”

New Delhi: The Central government on Wednesday stated that the bomb threat email sent to more than 80 schools in Delhi-NCR was a “hoax”, reported India Today.

The Union Ministry of Home Affairs urged the parents of students not to panic.

Delhi Lieutenant-Governor VK Saxena said that “culprits won’t be spared”. He directed Delhi Police to identify the perpetrators of the hoax for strict legal action.

Following the email with the bomb threat, all the schools were evacuated. Examinations in some schools were disrupted because of this bomb threat.
