Centre Sanctions 2 New Railway Projects for Odisha, Know Which Ones

Bhubaneswar: Central Government on Friday sanctioned two new railway projects for Odisha with a Gazette notification for the purpose. These two proposed Odisha projects are the Talcher-Angul railway track and the Bargarh-Nuapada rail line.

A notification in this regard was published in the Gazette of India by the Ministry of Railways dated May 19, 2023.

As per this Gazette notification, the Centre has sanctioned for new railway broad-gauge line (BG) between Talcher and Angul with Y connection at Talcher (16.50 km) of East Coast Railway and new BG railway line from Bargarh Road to Nuapada Road (142 km) of Sambalpur division of East Coast Railway.
