Bhubaneswar: While appearing for their examinations, students of class X and XII in Odisha will have to abide by the COVID guidelines, said School and Mass Education Minister Samir Ranjan Dash. This is a precautionary measure to allay the possibility of a rise in coronavirus infection amidst the Omicron sub-variant BF.7 scare.

Students will sit for their Summative Assessment-2 and +2 exams at their respective institutions wearing masks. They will also have to maintain social distancing, said Dash.

Meanwhile, Health Director Bijay Mohapatra said since Odisha has been affected by all 4 waves of COVID, the immunity level of people has increased during the period. So, we have immunity to resist the new variant, he added.

But the Health director advised all to be extra cautious, avoid crowds and take precautionary measures while visiting public places.
