CHSE +2 Board Exams from March 1 Under CCTV Surveillance While Teachers Threaten to Boycott Exams

Bhubaneswar: CCTV cameras will be installed at examination centers of +2 board examinations to be conducted by the Council of Higher Secondary Education (CHSE) Odisha from March 1, said School and Mass Education Minister Samir Ranjan Dash on Monday. This step will ensure transparency during the exams.

All practical examinations are over and question papers have been sent to question hubs across the State, he added.

The minister urged the agitating teachers of 662 category colleges to cooperate during the examinations taking the future of the students into consideration.

The striking teachers of 662 category colleges have threatened to boycott the higher secondary exams and continue indefinite strike if their demands are not met. They are continuing demonstration at the Lower PMG in Bhubaneswar demanding ‘equal grade, equal salary’.

The higher secondary board examinations for class 12 science students will begin on March 1. The exams for Commerce and Arts streams will start on March 2. The vocational studies examinations will commence on March 3.
