Couple frauds one and a half million

Bhubaneswar: A couple of Nayapalli IRC Villager Soumitra Patnaik has been accused in Khandagiri police station of defrauding Rs. The accused couple was Prashant Kumar Mohanty, manager of Chris Indigenous Technical Equipment Company in Baramunda, and his wife Taapsee.

As per Soumitra’s complaint, according to the agreement made in 2016, Soumitra became a partner and board of directors by paying one and a half crore rupees for a 33 percent share in the said company. In 2018, he fell ill and was admitted to the medical center. On this occasion, Prashant and Taapsee dismissed him from the company. After recovering, Soumitra returned from the hospital, a dispute arose and Soumitra asked for the money back. But they abused and beat him. So Soumitra asked for help from the police. The police have started an investigation.
