New Delhi: Sahil, the 20-year-old youth who murdered a 16-year-old Delhi girl in Shahbad Dairy area of Rohini, was sent to police remand for two days.

The accused was arrested on Monday from Uttar Pradesh’s Bulandshahr. Sahil killed his 16-year-old girlfriend in extreme gruesome manner. He stabbed the girl 21 times and then bludgeoned her head with a cement slab over 5 times.

After committing the crime, Sahil switched off his phone and boarded a bus to Bulandshahr to hide at his aunt’s place.

Sahil is a fridge-AC repairing mechanic, who was in a relationship with the victim since 2021. Both had quarreled a day before killing her. Reportedly, Sahil was angry with her as she wanted to part ways with him and thus killed her. The whole incident was recorded on CCTV.

So gruesome was the attack that the murder weapon, a knife, got stuck in the head of the victim at one point. A few moments later, the killer picked up a boulder lying nearby and started crushing her head. But no one nearby came out to rescue the girl.
