DJ Azex Death: Deceased’s Kin Blames Girlfriend

Bhubaneswar: As the mystery behind the alleged suicide of popular DJ Azex alias Akshay Kumar Maharana is yet to be unravelled, his family members have accused his girlfriend and her male friend of abetment of suicide.

Azex’s family has lodged a complaint with the Kharvel Nagar police in which they alleged that his girlfriend and her male friend were torturing and mentally harassing the DJ.

According to police, a case has been registered based on the complaint filed by the family members. The primary probe suggests that the deceased DJ ended his life by suicide owing to mental pressure.

According to the deceased’s family, Akshay and his girlfriend, who is studying in a private medical college in Bhubaneswar, were in a relationship for the past year. Whatsapp chat between the two revealed that she was exploiting Akshay for money and also demanding a two-wheeler from him, the FIR added.

Recently, DJ Azex transferred Rs 15,000 to the girl’s account through a PhonePe wallet. In the meantime, the girl was also maintaining a relationship with another person, who threatened Akshay to leave her or would leak their intimate videos on social media, the FIR alleged.

As per one of his friends, Akshay’s girlfriend was demanding money from him and was allegedly harassing him mentally over some pictures and videos.

The family has demanded a detailed investigation into the death. They have also requested the authorities to verify call records.
