Elon Musk Closes Twitter India Offices, Staff Ordered to Work from Home

Bengaluru: Elon Musk headed Twitter shut down two of its three offices in India. The staff of the closed-down offices were directed to work from home. This follows mass layoffs by Twitter in 2022.

Elon Musk has already fired 90 per cent of staff in India. Earlier it had around 200-plus staff in India. As per reports, Twitter India’s offices in Delhi and Mumbai have closed down. Twitter continues to maintain an office in Bengaluru.

Apart from India, Elon Musk has also closed down Twitter offices in several other countries. The recent decision of the billionaire CEO Elon Musk to close down Twitter offices in India indicates that for now, Indian market is not on the priority list of Twitter and Musk.

Twitter has failed to pay millions of dollars in rent for its San Francisco and London offices. Twitter is facing numerous challenges related to financial stability, employee retention, and content regulation.
