Ex-Block Veterinary Officer Sentenced 3 Yrs Imprisonment in Bribery Case

Bhubaneswar: Special Judge Vigilance in Bhubaneswar Satyanarayan Sarangi has sentenced Ex – Block Veterinary Officer to undergo RI for three years in connection with a bribery case.

The accused was identified as Dr Pratap Kumar Srichandan. He was charged with demanding and accepting a bribe of Rs 2000 from the complainant Bijay Kandi.

The convict is sentenced to undergo Rigorous Imprisonment for three years and four years under sections 7 and 13 P C Act 1988 respectively. Additionally, he is sentenced to pay a fine of Rs 5000 on each count in default thereof to undergo RI for two months.
