Fisherman Goes Missing After Falling Off Boat in Chitrakonda Reservoir

Chitrakonda: A fisherman went missing after falling off his boat while fishing in Chitrakonda reservoir in Odisha’s Malkangiri district.

The missing fisherman, identified as Mangara Pangi is a resident of Kadagumma village under Chitrakonda Block.

According to reports, the fisherman along with his wife had been to Chitrakonda reservoir at 11 am on Saturday for fishing.

As Mangara Pangi went missing, his wife filed a missing complaint at the local police station. As per her complaint, her husband fell off the boat into the water after losing control of himself while fishing and went missing in the water body.

After receiving the complaint, the local police rushed to the spot and with help of Chitrakonda firefighters, they searched for the missing fisherman in the reservoir till yesterday evening.

The search operation will also continue today.
