Gas Tanker Overturns on NH 26 in Odisha’s Koraput Disrupting Traffic

Koraput: A gas tanker overturned on NH-26 near Pottangi ghat road in Podalguda of Odisha’s Koraput district on Saturday.

The tanker was travelling to Raipur. Its driver lost control at a turn of the ghat road and the vehicle overturned.

Following the mishap, gas started to leak out of the tanker. Fire brigade personnel and police rushed to the spot to take stock of the situation.

To avoid any possibility of a major mishap due to LPG leakage, vehicular traffic on Sunki Ghat was temporarily diverted from Sunki, Rajuguda, Pukali to NH Pukali Chowk (Near Pottangi).

Earlier on November 29, another such incident took place in the same area. A gas tanker transporting LPG overturned on NH-26 near Rajuguda.
